7 MAKE UP TIPS FOR ACNE SUFFERERS

Make up makes you look and feel good (that is if it is applied in the right way) but some products are known to cause or aggravate acne which is a big problem for acne sufferers. However some people cannot do without make-up even for a day because of various reasons like maybe they have spots or blemishes that they want to cover up or some other reasons that I might not know about.

The point is that we ladies like to apply make up sometimes but the fact that we (I am also prone to acne) have acne would make the selection of make-up products that we use to be done with caution. The make-up products that are non-comedogenic or non-acnegenic are the ones that are very good for those who are acne prone.

When you are going to get a new make-up product, it would be very important for you to remember these following tips. These tips would help you in your quest to have an acne free skin and also help you look good.

The tips are:
1. Buy a water based foundation: If you use foundation, you should buy one that is water based. It is known that most acne prone people have oily skin on their face, so buying a foundation that is oil based would further clog your pores. A water-based foundation would allow your skin to breathe while giving you coverage.

2. Buy an oil control powder: Like I said, most people that are prone to acne usually have oily skin so using oil control powder would help reducing the production of oil. This oil reduction would help control acne as the follicle would have less oil to cause it to become plugged.

3. Buy make-up products that have sun protection factor (SPF): The best make-up product for anyone (those who are not acne prone and those who are) is one that has a SPF of above 15. This would protect your skin from the harshness of the sun’s UV rays causing you to have great skin. Products that have Sun protection factor have the dual advantage of protecting your skin and making you look good.

4. Use water based moisturizers: Moisturizers are essential in hydrating your skin, it help makes your skin feel soft and supple. However you have to use moisturizers that do not contain oil so as not to aggravate your acne, so it is best that you stick to moisturizers that are water based and are non-comedogenic.

5. Drink lots of water: This tip has nothing to do with make-up products but it is essential in helping you look good. This is because you could use all the products in the world but if your skin is not properly hydrated it would not be able to do much for your skin. So drink at least 1.5 litres of water a day. You won’t be sorry.

6. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables: This would help boost your immunity and can help fight the bacteria that causes acne.

7. Sleep: It may sound strange to you but it has been said that if you sleep for at least 7 hours a day it is very helpful to your skin. Lack of sleep usually makes the skin look haggard and you might even get bags under your eyes. SO GO AND GET SOME SLEEP.

Remember to buy products that are non-comedogenic or non-acnegenic (that is products that do not cause acne).

So there you are folks, make-up tips that would help you have a beautiful acne free skin, look good and also feel good. Hope you remember to use them.

Remain beautifully blessed,
Your girl, Bim nubi.

Of all the skin afflictions, Acne is the most ubiquitous and is commonly associated with adolescence. Surprisingly, Adult acne is prevalent in 25% of men and 50% of women at various stages of adult life. Scientists at NY University College of Medicine have shown that Niacinamide is superior to antibiotics such as Clindamycin in controlling acne. Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), applied topically, is beneficial for reducing Acne, skin hyper-pigmentation (acne scars), increasing skin moisture and reducing fine wrinkles. Niacinamide is generally recognized as safe during pregnancy (always consult a doctor). Try "Niapads" (it contains Niacinamide) for controlling your acne. It’s Simple for Pimple(C).
